Dr. Lusine Gomtsian Eyde
I’m a classically trained pianist with a PhD in Medical Pharmacology from the University of Arizona, where my doctoral work focused on neurobiology. Today, I work in Program Management in higher education, leading complex academic initiatives and supporting interdisciplinary collaboration.
The Scientific Pianist grew out of my long-standing interest in how research can inform the way we learn and teach music. My goal is to translate scientific insights into thoughtful, practical approaches to piano study and performance.
I studied piano under Emilio del Rosario at the Music Institute of Chicago and have taught students of all ages for over 18 years. Whether in a research setting, an administrative role, or the piano studio, I am drawn to structure, clarity, and evidence-based approaches that help people grow.
This space is for teachers, students, and curious musicians who want to better understand the science behind learning and performance.
